Do I need to book?
You don’t need to book if you’re visiting by yourself or your group as less than 8 people in it. Just turn up, we have plenty of hire bows and arrows to go around!

If your group has more than 8 people in it we really appreciate it if you booked before visiting as this will allow us to allocate the required amount of bows and arrows for your group when it arrives. If your group isn’t going to visit we’d appreciate it if you notify us so the allocated hire equipment can be used for other visitors.

Can I shoot my compound bow at Hoddywell Archery Park?
Compound bows are allowed at Hoddywell Archery Park, they just need to be within our set draw weight limits. For the Adventure Trail the max bow weight is 50lbs. For the target lane the max draw weight allowed is 70lbs. Compound bows are not allowed on the Family Fun Trail.

Do I have to be a member of an archery association or club to visit Hoddywell?
There are no Membership requirements. Hoddywell Archery Park is a fully dedicated public archery facility.

Can I visit the archery store on weekends?
Our physical archery store is open on the weekend however depending on how busy our archery hire department is we may have to temporarily shut the store. If you’re wanting to purchase a bow or require in-depth service or advice it’s recommended to visit the store on Monday or Tuesday. You can also purchase archery equipment from our online store.

How long has Hoddywell Archery Park been operating?
Since 1978. Hoddywell Archery Park was established so the general public could have a go at archery without the need to join an archery club or to purchase their own archery equipment.
